Parade Participants
Parade Day Guidelines
All entrants are expected to observe the following:
- Lineup area — Staging takes place in a residential neighborhood. Do not block driveways, park on lawns, or leave litter.
- Pace — Maintain consistent spacing with the parade flow. Large gaps between units are not permitted.
- Candy & handouts — All items must be distributed from ground level only, not from floats or vehicles, and directed away from the street edge. Entrant cooperation in maintaining child safety is expected.
- Water guns — Not permitted.
- Animal units — Responsible for providing their own waste cleanup.
Lineup positions will be communicated by July 22nd. Staging begins at 7:30 AM. The Kanabec County Agricultural Society assumes no liability for incidents occurring on the parade route.
Float Contest 2026 Theme
250th Anniversary of the Marines & Navy
Compete for cash prizes judged two ways:
- Celebrity Judges — A surprise judging panel selects 1st place, awarded $500
- People’s Choice — Public voting via Facebook, with 1st place awarded $200
All floats are eligible to compete with the exception of political floats.
